School Overview
Daniel Webster School 46 is a proud member of the Indianapolis Public Schools community of schools serving grades Pre-K–5. Our students participate in a curriculum designed to promote kindness, rigor and readiness for high school and beyond. Learning activities are engaging, student-centered and relevant to the requirements of the community and society for which they will become citizens. Students participate in self-discovery exercises such as social emotional learning opportunities, mindfulness, and community projects that promote kindness so that they become more responsible for their own learning.

School 46 provides a rigorous education for students by developing high-quality instruction through dedicated staff; professional development opportunities; and the use of data-driven instruction, which targets intervention of needed skills, high expectations, social-emotional learning instruction, and recognition of student milestones. School 46 strives to accelerate academic and social growth for all students.
What is an Exploratory School? Students in exploratory schools have access to a college-prep, rigorous curriculum as well as a full range of enrichment program offerings that enable students to explore their interests. IPS exploratory schools provide students with high-quality teaching and learning experiences enriched in ELA, math, science, the arts and an instructional model that enables the students to explore and achieve their fullest potential.
